Recently, a student went on an overseas family holiday during the school term and subsequently missed lots of learning.
In an attempt to keep this student connected and engaged in learning, I created a personalised travel journal for her to take on her trip. I decided to keep it simple, adding some question prompts as well as space for writing or drawing.

A new semester means new goals for my students and with distance learning in the back of my mind, I had to make this fun! I’ve titled this resource as a Vision Board to encourage creativity, a positive attitude and a growth mindset.
As teachers and students, we are so used to being around other people. Spending the days by myself is going to be tough, and I think it’s going to be tough for my students too!
Throughout Distance Learning, there are a few things that I will continue to do from our Term 1 practice. I believe that wellbeing goes hand in hand with learning so it is important to continue to build friendships and connections and to ensure there is time for mindfulness.
